Calvin Harris lit up Vienna in a massive launch show to kick off Euro 2008. The star, who recently released new material with Dizzee Rascal and Chrome, played an electric set - then launched a mega party with Puma into the early hours of Saturday morning. The finest local Euro talent joined him in an impressive line up - leading DJ and producer Philipp Van Het Veld and Austrian DJ DJ Gerwin Kante.

Austria was pleasurably shaken by Calvin`s eruption into town, they had even let him get his hands on the trophy earlier in the day. "I have been made very welcome, the atmosphere is incredible - I knew people here would be ready to celebrate and I wanted to give them the best show possible," Calvin told us with a smile. The launch gig was held in Volksgarten, Vienna, in a specially constructed `Republic of Puma Football`; the sportswear giants have set up the ultimate entertainment zone for visiting fans - with live acts and DJs, giant TV screens and even a football pitch. Calvin has a new album in production and he let fans taste the first play of his new material, the normally conservative Austrians were shaken and stirred.
