Forthcoming Drum and Bass releases

HAZARD - MACHETE BASS EP - PLAYAZ
Undoubtedly the biggest release of Hazard’s career and the biggest D’n’B release for quite some time is finally here! With all four tracks being rinsed by pyroradio`s Bryan G and Ruffstuff and having demolished clubs worldwide over the past six months, fans everywhere now have the chance to get their hands on it. Unless you’ve been hibernating during the winter you won’t have failed to hear ‘Machete’ out and about. Rowdy is an understatement for this one as Hazard unleashes the sickest b-movie speech amongst a barrage of face wincing bass charges and heart thumping kicks. Biggest dance floor tune out there at the moment, simple as that. Also including the dancefloor smashes: `Trouble Maker`, `Killers Don`t Die` and `Cowards Beware`
RELEASED 19TH MAY 2008

VARIOUS ARTISTS - SHOGUN ASSASSINS EP 3 - SHOGUN AUDIO
Shogun Audio proudly present the 3rd installment of the highly successful ‘Assassins’ series, featuring four unique tracks that highlight the exciting selection of artists from within the camp. Including, Icicle`s ‘Minus’ bringing his truly distinctive style and trademark production. ‘Stray’ by Alix Perez featuring silky vocals, housed up funk hooks and an irresistible groove. Spectrasoul`s ‘The Tube’ delivers a monstrous bass-driven roller, whilst still maintaining elements of the duo’s soulful sounds. Keep your ears to the ground for these guys!
Last but no means least, Zero T completes the EP with an example of why he’s one of the hottest producers around. ‘Goes Around’ unites a late night, smoky vibe, with classy vintage vocals and a smooth injection of bass that is as welcome on the dancefloor, as it is the listening ear.

TC - WHERE’S MY MONEY (CLIPZ RMX) / DRINK FT. JAKES (XAMPLE RMX) - DSTYLE RECORDINGS
After the steaming success of TC’s Evolution album he’s been a busy boy jetting off around the globe from Russia to Sao Paulo and beyond. Thankfully, to keep the TC vibe alive, he’s managed to hand over two previous gems for the re-lick treatment to fellow Bristolians Clipz and Ram Records’ new boy wonder Xample.
The Clipz Remix delivers a devastating blow with a disgusting drop of pummeling bass drones and squelching mid-range that has seen raves across the UK and abroad going off big time in recent months. `Drink` previously only available on the download and CD version of ‘Evolution’ now gets a vinyl release courtesy of Xample who has turned it into a big and bashy monster! Smashing percussion runs all the way with this one as his choking rising b-line does the business with a sexy p-funk synth riding over the top and Jakes’ toasting chants.
RELEASED 2ND MAY 2008

BARON - TURN UP THE SUN / BLINKING WITH FISTS - BREAKBEAT KAOS
You know when you see Breakbeat Kaos emblazoned across a piece of vinyl that it’s sure to be a big release and here is no different with the welcome return of Baron for his first outing since ‘Endless Summer’, one of the biggest tunes of last summer. Having been away working on other projects it’s good to see him returning to what he does best; making dirty dance floor drum ‘n’ bass!
Kicking off is the massive ‘Turn Up The Sun’ which has been big in sets across clubland over the last few months. Solid two-step breaks pave the way for a cool undulating b-line that snakes its way along as it’s coupled by a hands-in-the-air synth riff, wicked drum edits and a subtle vocoded vocal. Watch the dance move to this! ‘Blinking With Fists’ doesn’t mess around either with a DJ friendly intro into a breakdown of gorgeous ‘be strong’ soothing female vocals and a rising guitar line. This then builds to a large drop of rich textured bass that punches through the speakers with eerie spaced-out synths going off over the top to polish off another classy piece from Baron.
