DJ Probes Biography:

DJ Probes first encounter with music was Hip-Hop, back in the early 80s he was heavily into Run DMC, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, etc Introduced by a couple of friends in the late 80s Probe started going to club nights such as Energy @ Brixton Academy & Pirate Club @ Rocket, this was his first taste of Acid House & Rave music which slowly became his true love in music.

With the birth of the Acid House scene the dj skills of Carl Cox, Fabio, Grooverider & Randall inspired Probe to pursue a career as a dj. In 1989 he bought his first pair of decks, this was soon to pay off. At the age of 15 his first gigs were at THE CUCKOO CLUB @ Crazy Larrys, Rapido & Hard Times in East London. By 17 Probe had already played for legendary nights ORANGE (The Rocket club & Astoria) & STILL BUZZIN (Loft Club). After a recommendation from Randall in 1994 Probe joined Unique Artists (DJ Agency) playing at a variety of raves in London & the South East. That same year Probe secured a residency at INNERSENSE (Lazerdrome) which lasted 4 years. Each & every Saturday night Probe as Innersenses main resident dj would simply Tear down da place djing alongside his peers Grooverider, Randall, Hype, etc. Known for delivering memorable & enjoyable sets, selecting with precision and NO bias, Probe covered the full spectrum that was Jungle and pure Drum & Bass.

1994 was also a seminal year for DJ Probe as this was the start of his career with Londons premiere Drum & Bass station Kool FM (94.6FM).
