At the beginning of this year six Young Leaders from Thamesmead, Bexley came together to run a Sexual Health and Relationship project with £940 awarded by the Terrance Higgin Trust. Keiran, 17, Rodney, 16, Pinar, 18, Juwon, 18, Alex, 17 and Rusimbi, 17 worked with Headliners, the Thamesmead Youth Awareness Project and Pyro Radio to produce the radio piece you can hear above. They wanted to understand why some young people aren’t protecting themselves and if the media has any effect. They also got the opportunity to question Ghetts about the responsibility artists have in portraying a positive image to young people.
